Obituary

A beloved father of two and dedicated husband of sixty years to his wife, Dina, Michele Ricci went home to be with the Lord November 21st, 2021, after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer with his family by his side. Michele was born May 30th,1932 in Biccari, Italy and at 30 years old chose Columbus, Ohio to build his home, family, and career. He continued his walk in the Catholic faith as a member of St. Brendan Church and St. John the Baptist Church. Michele will be remembered as a selfless care provider to loved ones, friends, and others in need. His smiling, generous approach to life will be missed by all who knew him. Michele had a work ethic like no other and spent over 50 years of his life as a custom suit designer, and he was the best at his trade. Most notably he spent 35 years at O.P Gallo Formal Wear in downtown Columbus, where the Gallo's became family to him. He enjoyed and served his family and friends with such devotion and love. Michele was preceded in death by his parents Stefano Ricci and A. Carmina (Maiocco) Ricci. His sisters Filomena and Amalia and his brother Angelo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dina, son Stephen and wife Laura Ricci, daughter Lina (Ricci) Berling and son-in-law Jeff Berling, treasured "Nonno" to his six grandchildren, Angelica Ricci, Adriana (Ricci) and Alex Murill, Joseph Ricci, Alex Berling and Kaylen (Chang) Berling, Robert Berling and Mia Berling. And one great grandchild, Oliver Murrill. He is survived by one brother, Alessandro. Michele was dearly loved by all, and we will miss his immeasurable energy, faith, and joy. He will remain in our hearts forever. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021, at 9:30-10:30am at ST. BRENDAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4475 Dublin Road, Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am. Rev. Fr. Frank Brown, Celebrant and Rev. Fr. William A. Metzger, Co-Celebrant. There will be a luncheon immediately following Michele's mass in the social hall of the church. Private Entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Michele did request that donations be made to: The National Centre for Padre Pio. Arrangements are entrusted to the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W FIFTH AVE., 614-294-4416. To sign the on-line condolences please visit www.JohnQuint.com
