Tim

Thank you for all you gave to Gahanna Lincoln Class of 1981. I still remember the humor and lots of tape you brought to every football game and basketball game. You kept us going.

We will miss you

Tim,
we will miss you so much. Our neighborhood won't be the same with out you! I will miss our talks of politics, the stars, our military and life after returning from my bike rides. Your presence brought comfort to our nice little street. Thank you for looking out for us. Jen and I will miss you.

Tim,

We will miss your wit, passion for politics, and intelligence. As one who had the pleasure to teach you and to get to know you a bit as young man, you made teaching fun and rewarding. I know I speak for all your past professors and the current members of the History Department at Muskingum in saying you were one of a kind--the best kind.

Tim: We had the privilege of knowing you as a student at Muskingum College. You were the type of student who made teaching a rewarding experience as well as being an enjoyable person with whom to associate. Your departure is a deeply felt loss.

Tim -- Thank you for welcoming us to the neighborhood. It was great to be able to take a few moments out of a hectic day to stop and chat whenever our paths crossed. We'll miss the friendly waves, whether from the porch while you were enjoying a cigar, or walking the dog, or just coming and going. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Sincerely, Amy and Tony Banks

Sparkie:
You were definitely one of a kind. The news of your death has shocked all of us. It seemed as though old football players, coaches and friends started calling one another right away. The memories of how you touch each individual at Muskingum in your own unique way brought back such fond memories of the times we shared. Stories of football practices, games, RA and RD pranks during our time on the resident life staff will be things we will always remember about you. (And that stupid giggle)

We'll miss you.

Sparky,
You were definatley one of a kind. Everyone who got the pleasure of meeting you, knows that the lives you touched are all the better for it. I appreciate your wisdom, sense of humor, endless conversations about books, advice-everything! I will miss you and I will never forget some of the great times we've had or those crazy jokes and stories you told.
I will miss my "phone a friend" lifeline!

Our tenants at 1490 Virginia Ave. sent us an e-mail in Florida with the sad news. We have enjoyed Tim, his mother and grandparents for about 20 years that we have owned this property. He will be sadly missed. We always enjoyed talking to Tim when we would be working on the property.

It has been almost a month since I saw so many friends and wonderful people who loved you so much. Chuck Brown gave me a Fuentes Hemingway and I smoked it the next weekend during ice fishing at Put In Bay. I know you were there, laughing your ass off at how I decided to try fishing in 50 mile an hour winds at zero degrees with crap to show for it. Then came February 6th...Ronald Reagan's birthday. I thought about the coincidence that you and I, along with RR, were all Aquarians. I am sure you had quite a party with him. Did you remember that his favorite drink was a Bourbon and ginger ale? Probably Jim Beam. Jan and I miss you, your great sense of humor, your staunch views, your kindness to our kids, and your presence in our lives. The wonderful thing is that my life is so much more enriched for having known you. God bless.

Sparky,

I had no idea you were gone. No idea. Every six months or so, I've searched for you on Facebook, thinking that eventually, you'd "get with the times" and join. This time, I dug deeper, and I found your obituary. I would have rather found a cheesy Facebook selfie, my friend.

Although we never met in person, our internet friendship was strong and long. You taught me many things... you honed my views, you gave me a love for all things Phantom, you taught me some basic Internet safety in the early days. You taught me about Lincoln, Reagan, cigars, birds that mimic, and honor.

You were just a very good man, and now that you have "slipped the surly bonds of earth, and touched the face of God," I find that I am a better person for having known you.

Much love,
Susie
