Obituary

Timothy "Timmy" A. Schilder age 63 of Grandview Heights, Ohio died at home on May 19, 2026. Timothy was a 1981 graduate of Grandview High School. After high school he pursued a career as a butcher at Kroger and retired after 30 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed watching his grandson Hudson play sports, camping, Buckeye and Notre Dame football, and crappie fishing. Timmy had his favorite fishing spots along the Scioto River, Alum Creek and in Clearwater, Florida. He was a very generous guy who never knew a stranger and made sure to be kind to everyone he met. He was also known for being ornery and coming up with a quick-witted joke or pun for every situation, followed by his signature laugh. Timothy leaves behind his son, Josh (Kristi) Schilder; and his grandson, Hudson; and his other son, Nathan (Lisa) Schilder as well as his beloved sisters, Amy Browning, Allison (Ted) Brammer, Erin (Tony) Gatto; and brothers, Philip (Angie), Greg (Gretchen) and Eric (Becky) Schilder as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Ann Souders and her husband Chris. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Christine Boston; best friend and brother-in-law, Michael "Stormy" Browning; his sister, Suzanne Hughes; and his father, William "Irish Willy" Schilder. His family will be holding a celebration of life for close friends and family later this summer. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that you spend time with loved ones or enjoy a beautiful day at your favorite fishing spot.

This man knew no strangers. I just heard my mother in law telling me a story about Tim and how he always made sure that there was some great rack of lamb ready and waiting for her and her sister when they cam to the meat counter. She said he was always happy to see them and a treat to get to talk with. That is who he was. The fact that his best friend was Stormy says a lot about him. Both are missed so greatly by those that were close to them. God comfort and bless all who are mourning loss at this time.

Ever since we met in first grade, there has been a special friendship. You, Matt and I did everything together. My life will be a little more empty now, but we see each other again. Love you brother! Prayers and love to the family

To the Schilder Family, Tim was a huge part of our lives while he was in Rehab in Florida. We spent many days with him before his return to Ohio. We always sent him Birthday cards as he was a part of two of our Granddaughter's lives for many years. He had the funniest wit about him and will be sadly missed.
