Dear Family,

I expect a new restaurant opened in heaven today.

God, Family and Food were her greatest strengths and source of many blessings. Who in Columbus has not been blessed by her faith, her cooking and by being called her family? I was. She was a great mom to you and to many. Her love was boundless. Her energy unbelievable.

Stella-a gift from God not lost to us today but ever more fully realized.

God Bless you all!

Fr. Rob

Our hearts are so saddened by such a huge loss to all of us here on earth who knew and loved Stella. MeMaw will be remembered for her passion for living, cooking & loving her family (her relatives and the many people she 'adopted' over the years--including our own family). We are grateful to have known her and been a part of her life. We love all of you and are thinking of you. Our loss is truly the Lord's gain--I'm sure MeMaw will get the kitchens in heaven whipped into shape in no time. We will miss our dear MeMaw. love, Heidi, Art, Maddy, Grant & Gretchen

Oh how I would have loved to see the reunion of Stella with Ricky, Mike, Sully, Franz and all of her other loved ones as they rejoiced together in Heaven. I dont know anyone wno was a better living example of how Christ wanted us to live our lives here on earth than Stella. My family and I are so saddened by her passing but know she is so happy where she is. We will all miss her "take charge" personality and always loving hugs. My love and prayers go out to all of you, Sharon

Beanie, Mike, and Rosalie:

Our heart-felt sympathy to you all from Germany. We âre sorry that we cannot be closer in this your hour of sadness But almost a half century as the next door neighbor to you and your Mom and Dad were wonderful years with many great memories that we will always have. Your Mom was certainly the epitome of a caring, giving, and generous lady, and we will be forever grateful for such a neighbor and friend for all those wonderful years.

Arrividercci, Stella

We are regulars at Vittoria's and there we met Stella. The evening was always better when she would stop at your table to chat. What a wonderful lady. We will miss her and her smile. Our thoughts are with you.

We were so sorry to learn of Stella's passing. She was a wonderful friend for so many years. We had many family celebrations at Casa di Pasta, it was our children's favorite restaurant. Stella made our daughter, Wendy's, wedding cake. Stella honored us by having our picture on her wall. We will miss her very much. Our deepest sympathy to her family. Bobbie and Alan Weiler

The Ohio State Football family has lost an institution. I have worked at the Horshoe for over 30 years and always looked forward to seeing Stella at home and away games. For a number of years she would bring food in for the ushers. Food, football, family, giving and caring are what Stella represented to me. The Shoe wont be the same and I am going to miss this grand lady!!

Beanie, Rosie, and Michael:

Words are so inadequate in describing the loss of Stella. Multiple words tumble forth when you consider her impact on people. She lived life to the fullest and never missed the opportunity to assist acquaintances along the way. As a result, her vast circle of friends are fortunate to call Stella "friend."

Fr. Rob, well said!! Stella stole my heart the first time I met her, about a year ago. What an amazing woman. Tim and I miss her very much and are very saddened by her passing. Still tough to believe...

I (and several others) wrote a note and posted a picture on legacy.com which is linked through the Dispatch. Just wanted to be sure you all knew about those also. I love the picture I took of her with my friends last summer. They fell in love with her immediately too.

Sharing your sorrow,
Kathryn

I was Stella's Health Dept. inspector at Casa di Pasta for a time. There was never anything wrong! She was a stitch because at every visit she said, "I want to sell this place." She always looked way younger than she apparently was. A great lady!

Roger, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your grandmother. You talked of her a lot and I know you will miss her very much. I remember her from the days I was a student at OSU and we went to the Casa di Pasta. Stella always made certain we followed the rules of eating pasta the Italian way!

Beanie, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Yes, she did touch many hearts. I got to know her while working in Vittoria's before it opened. She was a work horse whose comments were RIGHT ON! My mother always sought her out when my parents ate there, as I think Stella gave my Mom a dose of the Old Country.
Sincerely, Carol Buccilla
