Obituary
Salvatore "Sammy" Leo Mogavero, age 81, passed away on Thursday February 24th, 2005 at Ohio State University Medical Center. Sam's life was a real adventure. He looked forward to every day. He was a loving husband and father. A Christian, a teacher and a humanitarian, he loved helping people. A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School Class of 1939. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Worthington Hills Country Club, Riviera Country Club, AIG, OEDA and he founded and operated the Mogavero Machinery Company. He also proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony & Pauline and his loving wife of 55 years Mary Jane. Survived by his children Raymond(Marci)Ruble, James Mogavero, Robert(Diane)Mogavero, Paula(Scott)Myers, Donna Mogavero and Gina Parish, grandchildren Leah, Alexia, Chaney, Josi, Elissa, Natalie, Andrew, Mia, Sam & Kathyrn, sister-in-law Margorie Gates and brother-in-law Jack Federer. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call Sunday February 27th, 2005 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM on Monday February 28th, 2005 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel(within the St. Joseph Cemetery) 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio Msgr. John G. Johnson, Officiating. FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET AT CHAPEL. PRIVATE interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Sam to the Ohio Health Foundation(Hospice), 3724-G Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43214. Bob and Diane,
I heard from my sister Janet that your father and father-in-law, Sam Mogavero, passed away this weekend. This loss, I also learned, comes only two weeks after the loss of your mother and mother-in-law, Mary Mogavero. I can only imagine your grief for losing one, and then both of your parents in such a short time.
Bobby, I know how much you loved your parents. I have memories of them from way back, when I had the honor to meet them and the rest of your family. With such a close and loving family, I know they enjoyed rich lives. My heart and prayers are with you and your family.
