Obituary

Salvatore Di Francesco, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15th, 2006 at his residence. Born in Introdacqua, Italy in 1917. He was a veteran of the Italian Army and came to America in 1957. A life long member of St. James the Less Catholic Church. He worked as a barber for the Neil House Hotel and was an award winning gardener, famous for his tomatoes. He is welcomed into heaven by his parents Salvatore & Bambina, brother Antonio, daughter Maria and loving wife of 59 years Sintia. Survived by children Miriam Smith, Leo(Kathy) and S. Scott(Becky), grandchildren, Nick, Marie, David, Michael, Anna and Valerie, step grandchildren Jack(Denise)Hollerich and Heidi(Michael)Sargent, 5 step great grandchildren, sister Dora Tiberi of Italy, special sister-in-law Diva(Evaldo)Volpe, special nephew Emanuele(Mary Ann)Centofanti and numerous other relatives and friends in Canada, Italy as well as the United States. Friends may call Thursday, May 18th, 2006 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, May 19th, 2006 at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, Fr. Patrick Patterson, Celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, 9571 North High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
