Obituary
Roger Dale Miller, of Upper Arlington, died in his home Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at age 83. Roger, a native of Waveland, IN, served his country as a Sgt. in the U.S. Army during WWII. Graduated in 1950 from Purdue University in Civil Engineering. Working for several consulting firms throughout his career, he retired from the City of Columbus. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha Ann. Survived by sisters, Doreen Nyce of Kansas City, MO., Mary Ellen Hutson of Marshall, IN., brother Herb (Carol) Miller of Phoenix, AZ. children; Michael (Toni) Miller, Sandra (Paul) Parsons, Roger (Sue) Miller; grandchildren, Sasha (Andy) Buckingham, Brandi Potts, Kelsy (Jason) Harr, Brittny Parsons, Trace Miller, Trevor Miller; great-grandchildren, Jorden, Jaelynn, Lilly, Addie and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call FRIDAY, March 20, 2009 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on SATURDAY, March 21, 2009 at funeral home. Private family Inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Roger to the Ohio Health Foundation, HomeReach Hospice, 180 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. I am privileged to have known Roger, even if only for a short time. He was a pillar of strength in the face of adversity and inspired many of the staff and patients here at the Center. He will be sorely missed but revered for his perseverance and grace, kindness, and jovial spirit. I pray that warm memories of Roger fill your hearts and comfort you during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you all as we Celebrate the wonderful life of this incredible gentle soul!
