Obituary

Norman Lewis Overstreet, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, June 7th, 2005 at St. Ann's Hospital. He proudly served in the US Army and was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church, Fire Chiefs of Ohio and former member of SMAC. He retired from Columbia Gas after 43 years of dedicated service. Also, Norman was proud to have coached football at St. Matthias for several years. He is preceded in death by his parents Norman and Mary Margaret and brothers Daniel and Thomas(Patricia). Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years Yolanda, children Douglas(Tammy), David(Cheryl) and Julie(Paul)Howard, grandchildren Kathryn, Brittany, Ian, Mason, Jade, A.J., Jimmy, Chad and Hayley, great grandchild Antonio, brother Michael(Jean), sister Mary Ellen(Al)Roberts, sister-in-law Linda Overstreet and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Norman also leaves behind his buddies in the Columbia Gas Retirees Golf League. Friends may call Friday, June 10th, 2005 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 11th, 2005 at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Road, Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Fr. James T. Smith, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Norman to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013 Columbus Ohio 43218.
