Obituary

Nick Vannicelli, age 79, passed away on Monday, December 26th, 2005. Nick was past State Commander and Lifetime active member of VFW Post 4044 and a retired Union Welder for the Clark Grave Vault Company. He is preceded in death by his parents,John and Donata, brothers Clem and Mike(Mabel), sisters Rose Fike, Perina(Larry)Michaelis and Theresa Dixon, son John D. Vannicelli, step-son Larry Barker and Mildred his loving wife of 50 years. Survived by son Dan(Cindy) and daughter Nikki(Larry)Scaggs, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters Tony (Lita) Vannicelli, Olive Cantrell, Violet Scharenberg, Mary (Albert) Trauffer, Eda(Howard)Champ and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, December 30th, 2005 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday December 31st, 2005 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemetery, 5600 East Broad St, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Nick to the HomeReach Hospice of Columbus, 3724-G Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214. I am truly sorry for the loss of your father. He always had that twinkle in his eyes and a smile on his face. Nick was a good man and my daughter, Deena, loved her Paw-Paw,and will continue loving him. Now that he is with his wife, Millie, in Heaven, they will live forever together.
