Nicholas Andrew Pollina, age 87, passed away on June 29, 2008 after a long courageous battle with cancer. A member of St. James the Less Catholic Church and a graduate of Central High School. Proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, retired from the Railroad, and Coca Cola Bottling Company after 35 years of dedicated service. He is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Cora (Martina), wife Wilma(Faiella), mother-in-law and father-in-law Panfilia and Concezio Faiella, sister Josephine(Earl)Cianelli, brother Joe(Vinny), Ed, in-laws Geneva(John)Faiella, Rose(Richard)Potenza, Sistino(Settimia)Faiella, Lillian(Ray)Quint, Dan Hollern, Anthony "Bud" Mangia, George Terapak, nephew Paul Cianelli, and great nephew Paul Cianelli, Jr. Survived by son, Marion Pollina; daughters Kathy(Joe)Duppy; Cheryl(Jim)Siebold; grandchildren, Jeremy and Lindsay Pollina, Lisa, Nicole and Robert Duppy, Amy Siebold; sister Rose Terapak; in-laws Jeannie (Pollina)Thornton, Mary Hollern, Joanne Mangia and Elmo Faiella; special niece Patti Terapak, special friend Loretta Phillips and family, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to Columbus Oncology; Dr. Thomas Sweeney, Stacey and the entire staff. Also thanks to Riverside Hospice and special caregivers Lindsay Pollina, Donita Rossiter and Lolita Lewis. Friends may call TUESDAY, July 1st 2008 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 3:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on WEDNESDAY, July 2nd 2008 at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Avenue, Rev. Fr. Scott Kramer and Rev. Fr. Pat Patterson Celebrating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in Nick's memory to the St. James the Less, general parish fund or St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. James the Less Catholic Church.
