I was saddened with the news about Tod's death and would like to extend by sympathies to his wife Claudette and his family at this time of their loss. I was fortunate to know him as a member of the Verhoeff-Zimmerman Society and have fond memories of him. He was always a kind and gentle man who taught me much about diseases of the eye during his presentations at the annual meeting of this society devoted to ophthalmic pathology. We will all miss him.

I just wanted to let you know how important that Mike was to me and my family. He was not only a co-worker but a dear and close friend. We had alot in common we were both from Ohio and loved Ohio State. He would come over and play cards and dice with us and he also went with me to Cedar Point which I will always cherish
( ou should have seen him on those roller coasters, he was scared but did it anyways. He made me laugh when I was sad and always new what to say to get me through the though time when my 15 year old daughter got pregnant. My two older children had him as a professor at Hiwassee College and again he became their friend and they also are going to miss him greatly. You have very few people in your life that truely touches you all the way to your heart and I can say that Mike was one of those people. His friendship was so valuable to me and I can't imagine not being able to share with him. My memories will always be happy ones and he will always and forever be my Boerger Buddy from Ohio. My family and I Loved Mike dearly. He is going to be greatly missed.

May God Bless You during this difficult time.

Dear Rose,
We are so sorry for the loss of your son. It is hard to imagine the pain you are enduring, unless one has lost a child. Please know that you, your family, and Michael are in our prayers.
