Obituary

Michael "Mickey" Amicon walked his final fairway on June 24, 2025. Mickey was the middle child in a family of seven boys and he was the only one with any sense of fashion. He was a devoted father to Nina and Derek, and his passion was cheering on their development into extraordinary collegiate runners. Mickey toured the country working on the American Freedom Train with his older brothers before putting in a full career with the city of Columbus. He was a skilled golfer, a regular at Woodlands, and a lover of music and literature (if you consider horse racing forms literature.) Mickey was proceeded in death by parents, William and Marjorie (Harlow) Amicon; and brothers, Andy and Bobby Amicon. Mickey is survived his children, Nina and Derek; brothers, Rocky, Billy (Kim), Ronnie, and Rick (Annie); sister-in-law, April; nephews, Gabe, Gus, Luke, and Joey; and niece, Cassie McIntire. There will be a visitation on Fri. July 11, 2025 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W. 5th Ave. Columbus, Ohio 43212 from 3-6 pm. A Mass will be held on Sat. July 12, 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 414 E. Broadway Ave Columbus, Ohio 43212 at 10:30 am. To leave a condolence please visit www.johnquint.com.
