Obituary

Martha Kelly Pfister, age 37, lost her battle and went home to the Lord on Thursday October 21, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. She dedicated her life to helping others and always brought a smile to those around her. Her cheerful spirit and love of life will be sorely missed. Martha was a graduate of Centennial High School and was employed with MEDCO Health Solutions for eight years. She had a deep love of nature and a profound affection for animals, having six cats and one dog of her own. Martha had a great strength and courage and everyday she would say, "Thank you God for one more Day". She is preceded in death by her parents Donald, Sr. and Kathleen Pfister of Grandview Heights. Martha is survived by her devoted husband Jimmy Agler in which they shared a "connection" like no other, siblings, Kathleen (Michael) Musick, Donald, Jr. (Allison), Maureen (John) Winingham, uncle Charles (Nora) McCormick, in-laws Margaret & Bob Stephenson and Alan & Rosetta Agler. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Friends may call SATURDAY October 30, 2010 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 3:00-5:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life Service, Rev. Fr. Joshua J. Wagner, Officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Martha to the Ohio Health Foundation (HomeReach Hospice) 180 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. I am so sorry to hear that Kelly lost her battle. I met Kelly when we worked at Kroger together in the late 80's/early 90's. We had so much fun together; Kelly is the one who taught me how to line dance and to enjoy country music. Her energy was contagious. I am so glad we met and I'll never forget Kelly.

Jimmy,

We live far away from the rest of our family, but memories of family visits are never far from our heart. We have many precious memories of you through the years from the times we got together in Grandview as you were growing up, and from a visit that you with your Mom and Dad and Cathy made to us in Maryland one hot summer. Our first acquaintance with Kelly was at your Grandma Agler's birthday party at your Dad's house in Dublin. We were very glad to meet Kelly then, as that visit impressed on us how wonderful she was. She was so full of energy and so helpful and congenial, that we knew you were very lucky to have her as your companion in life. Kelly has now passed from your immediate life, but may the blessed memories you have of the good times you and she shared remain and comfort you forever.

I was shocked to learn of Kelly's passing. When I met Kelly, I could see that she could barely contain all the energy and love of life within her. I felt that she could never be stopped by anything simply due to the strength of her character. She made everyone feel like they were her best friend. Nobody could be more outgoing, friendly and fun. Many miles separate all of the people that Kelly touched in her life. We've all lost our best friend.

I am so stunned to come across Kelly's obituary today. She and I were in class together at Ft. Hayes, back in 1991. The very thought of Kelly in any state other than completely strong and exuberant is difficult to muster. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family and friends. You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers.
