Louis "Jack" Giany, age 77, Saturday May 29th 2004. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War ll. He retired from the Canteen Corporation after 38 years of dedicated service. Past Commander of the American Legion Post 614, an honorary member of Meig's 9, former member of the VFW Post 4713, Malta, Ohio and former member of the Port O'Morgan Boat Club, Malta, Ohio. Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman and he was always willing to put others before himself. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and cousin. He is preceded in death by his parents Angelo & Jessie, beloved first wife of 35 years Jeannine Giany(Williams), loving second wife of 17 years Mary "Molly" Giany, granddaughter Claire Heskett, sister Sylvia Jeany and brother-in-law Jack Lyons. Survived by children Paula J. Giany and husband Stephen R. Woods, Mark S. Giany and wife Nancy R., Christopher Giany and wife Kelly J. and Julie E. Giany and husband Gregory P. Heskett, grandchildren Robert(Lindsey), Amanda(Stephen), Anessa, Laura, Taylor, Anthony, Paul, Tyler, Quentin, Joseph and Nicole, great grandchild Lillian, brother Aldo J. Jeany and wife Mary C., sisters Virginia Peyton and husband William and Louise Lyons, children of second wife William & Amanda. Also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends especially his loving canine companion Vasco. Friends may call Wednesday June 2nd 2004 at the John Quint & Sons Funeral Home 1177 West Fifth Avenue from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday June 3rd 2004 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road, Msgr. Romano Ciotola, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery 6440 S. High Street Lockbourne, Ohio.
