So sorry to hear about Uncle Les's passing. He passed away on what would have been my Dads 79 birthday. I have a feeling they are both up above celebrating life without any more suffering. He was always my favorite Uncle. Always remember him: he was a great man. Love Susie Woodward.

It was very sad to hear of uncle Les's passing. He is at peace now and has taken rest w/ my father. His departure fell on what would have been my dad's b-day. Now they can bicker over who's gonna win when Prudue and Ohio State play. We'll always remember him w/ great love. Love, Jeannie (Long) Hastings and Mom(Joan) Long

Our condolences to your family on the loss of uncle Les. May the grace and peace of our Lord surround you in this time of both sorrow of his passing and celebration of his life. We just laid to rest Scott's father of 93 years today. Heaven just gained another Buckeye fan.

We are so sorry to hear about Uncle Les. He was a great guy. It's so very hard to imagine the reunion without Uncle Les sitting in his chair taking it all in from the sidelines. He was always so quick with a smile. He will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I'm very sorry to hear of Uncle Les'passing i always liked him and his easy going, laid back way. I always had to stop by to have a beer with Les and Tom(Mr. Cool and Mr.Smooth)at our reunions.
I watched the Celebration of life video and had tears of joy for the wondeful life Uncle Les lived. We all should be so lucky to be loved by so many. RIP Uncle Les. Love you guys and thinking of you now...Ray

It's hard to think of a kinder and gentler human being than Les. We remember fondly our visits with all of you on Chrisview. There is a consolation in his passing and that is that his suffering has ended. All of our love. Don and Emily.

We were saddened to hear of Uncle Les leaving us He left a lot of happy memories for us and the Christmases at the Longs'. We still have all the wonderful wood artwork he did for us and our children (ie the Nutcracker, the train, Santa, and others) - we still put them out every year when our kids come and visit. Les and Larry shared their football enthusiasm especially when Indiana and OSU played! God be with you Rosella and your children and family and give you His peace knowing that Les will be waiting on the other side for us all. You always treated me like one of the family and we felt sometimes like you were a second home for us.
Love, Kim and Larry Long

After having regretably missed the calling hours and home visits earlier, I wanted to share how much I will miss this most admirable, kind, and stalworth of a man, father, & grandfather. The video tribute speaks volumes, as did the funeral mass. His contribution to us, especially to mom & dad when they immigrated still reverberates today. May the Lord comfort you all, and give you His peace.
