Obituary
Lena M. Piolata, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at home. Past member of the Piava Club. Parishioner at Saint Andrew Catholic Church. Great baker and wonderful Italian cook. Lena enjoyed being with her family and playing cards with her friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marino & Deserata Cechetti, sisters Mary Garbuglio, Josephine Tibery, and Edith Cechetti, brothers Tony, Louis, and Walter Cechetti and her husband of 29 years Thomas Joseph Piolata. She is survived by her son Thomas (Carla) Piolata, daughter Michele (Tom) Piolata Gill, grandchildren Marisa (Ryan) Piolata Webb, Maria (Drew) Piolata Milligan, Andria (Adam) Piolata Bennett, Tommy Piolata, Phillip Gill, Andrew Gill, and great-grandchildren Lia and Mira Milligan, Dominic and Vincent Bennett. Lena is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and close friends. Her family’s love is with her. Friends may call SUNDAY, January 10, 2010 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 2:00-6:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 5:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on MONDAY, January 11, 2010 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Rev. Fr. Michael B. Watson, Presider. FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

Michelle, Tommy and all our wonderful Family, What memories we have... what fun we have had... what laughter we shared... these are the gifts wonderful Aunt Lena gave to us. The gift of being consistently "Aunt Lena"... what a treasure and blessing we were granted by calling her our Aunt, Grandma, Great Grandmother and Mom! May we continue to be grateful for our "Lena" and the many blessings she gave to each and every person she touched. Aunt Lena is one of a kind whom I have always cherised.
