Obituary
Karen J. Girod, age 50, of Columbus, died on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital due to complications from open-heart surgery. Karen was employed by the Huntington Bank for over 15 years. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary "Kate" and her aunt, Vera Girod. She is survived by her father, Fleet; sister, Tracey Fichtelman; brother, Tom; nieces and nephews; and her cat, Tally. Karen's family invites all who knew and loved her for a time of sharing from 6-8 p.m., on Monday, February 4, 2013 at THE JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Please wear informal attire. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
