Judith Ann Fedderke, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2026. She passed away peacefully in her home after several years of battling cancer. Judy was a kind and devoted sister, aunt, friend and neighbor. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and enjoyed her radiant smile. Judy had a deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a quiet and gentle servant. Her time spent with the Lord was a source of great wisdom and knowledge throughout her life. Judy was born on September 19, 1940 in Defiance County, Ohio to Henry and Amelia (Kruse) Fedderke. She graduated from North Richland Adams (Jewell) High School and Northwestern Ohio Practical Nurse Training Center in Toledo, Ohio. After graduation, a school friend of Judy's secured an interview at OSU Hospital in Columbus and asked Judy to come along on the drive. Judy accompanied her friend on the trip, and God led Judy to receive an on-the-spot nursing job offer from OSU as well. Judy retired from OSU after 28 years of service. She continued her career working in a variety of jobs including Home Health Care, Maryhaven, Grant Hospital, and Kohl's department store. Judy fondly remembered caring for her sheep on the family farm when she was a child. After retirement, she spent 16 years fostering dogs for the Columbus Dog Connection. This brought her great satisfaction. Judy was a skilled and gifted gardener. She loved the hours she spent in her beautiful garden and making improvements in her yard. Camping and traveling were among her special joys. Bethlehem Lutheran Church was Judy's first church home. It played a very supportive role in her childhood years. She was thankful for Riverside Bible Church in Columbus, where she grew in faith, knowledge, and peace in Christ. Judy is survived by her sister, Marilyn Thomas, four nieces, and three nephews. Her devoted next-door neighbors, Kraig and Christine Phillips, became like a son and daughter to Judy and were instrumental in her care for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim Fedderke, sister-in-law Mary Ellen Fedderke, and brother-in-law Ned Thomas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Bible Church, 5330 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43235, or Jerusalem Prayer Team International, Attn: Mike Evans, P.O. Box 3000, Phoenix, AZ 85046-9932. A memorial service will be held on March 28, 2026 at 11:00am at Riverside Bible Church located at 5330 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43235. There will be no separate visitation. Her ashes will be interred at Bethlehem Lutheran Church located at 2499 Adams Ridge Rd, Defiance, OH 43512.
