Dear Joe, We're so sorry to hear about Judi. May she rest peacefully in her new home. She was such a joy to know and to love and to be loved by her. Her happy spirit was contagious and it was such fun just to be around her.
We are so sorry we can't attend her funeral as we are leaving this morning (Saturday) for WV to attend our 64th high school reunion, returning on Monday. Please know that our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your dear family. We hope to see you next winter in Jamaica Bay.
In deepest sympathy, Bob and Sue VanStavern

Our hearts are filled with love and sympathy for all of you. Judi was my "Florida best friend"..she radiated a smile for everyone and absolutely lit up a room when she entered. Her giving heart will be missed, her love for others and interest in them will be lost, and her pride and love for Devyn will continue forever. She will be a special angel for Devyn. May Jesus wrap his loving arms around her and hold her tight. Blessings to all...Bill & Linda Van Horn

Joe,
It was a sad day when I heard about Judi passing away. I didn't get to spend as much time with Judi as I did with You, but the feww times we were all together, it was easy to see that the love between you two was very strong. At those times, I had just lost my own wife to illness, and being with You and Judi helped the healing. You and the Family are in my prayers, and I am sure that Judi, and the Lord will be listening to all our prayers for You and the Family.
Take Care my Friend and God Bless...Jimmie Hicks

Judi will be missed by everyone in Jamaica Bay. I remember how Judi and I went to the pool everyday a few years back. We would sit there for hours. And how she loved the "Buckeye Club". Joe, take care of yourself. See you back home soon.

I remember Judi with fond memories of our high school days together. She was always fun to be with especially at our lunch room table. We always had to whisper about our boyfriends because all the nuns were stationed in each corner watching us. And of course, that made us laugh and giggle even more. Even tho we went our separate ways there is always a warm spot for the memories I have of her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and please know that I share your sorrow.

Judi's death is a tremendous loss for Jamaica Bay; indeed, Janico Court will never be the same. She will be missed by so many of us who were touched by her gregarious personality and her ever-present smile. Judi may be gone, but she will certainly not be forgotten; she will live on in the hearts and minds of those of us who cherished her friendship. Our loyalty to Judi compels us to keep her memory alive.
