I would like to give Joe's Family my condolences of your lose. I work for the dealership where Mr. Viau bought his car so I have dealt with him and got to talk to him when he came in for service. I would like to say from my years of working at a dealership i never meet or dealt with a nicer gentleman in those years. He was a real pleasure to be around. Again my heart is broken for your lose and my prayers are with you.

It is with great sadness that I write this note. Joe was such an important part of the Columbus Swing Dance Club and will be sadly missed. I just saw & spoke with him on Monday night at the Swing Dance Club. Please find peace in the knowledge that his faith showed in everything he did and who he was. May the peace of Christ be with you always,
Ka Ren

Jimmy, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's death and wish there was something I could say to help. Knowing there is not, just remember you are in my prayers. Considering how sick Juli has made me this past year, with the cat dander and all, I just feel I cannot take a chance on going to funeral. God richly bless you Jimmy.

My sincere sympathy on your loss.
Joseph was truly a very special person.
Our thoughts are with you at this time of your loss of your dear loved one.
It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And cause such pain that can be most difficult to bear.
The Bible Can Bring Comfort when we lose a loved one.
While you are grieving, maybe some of these scriptures will comfort you.
2 Corinthians 1:3, 4.
Acts 17:31.
Psalm 119:50, 52, 76.
ȁCThe hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.ȁD—John 5:28, 29.
The Bible holds out a truly comforting hope, the promise of life under very different conditions, under peaceful, righteous conditions.
And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again.
The Wiley family sends our sincere condolences on your loss.

I hardly knew Joe but had the pleasure of seeing him a few times at St. Christopher’s and one fish fry at Our Lady of Victory . I will never forget the first time I met Joe. It was Christmas Eve 2008. My daughter was in from NYC. We went with Melba Miller and even though we were early, we weren’t early enough to easily get a seat for the 4:30 Christmas Eve mass. Melba introduced us and Joe found us a seat with his family. I will never forget it. I remember this moment fondly, my daughter feeling so welcome sitting next to his granddaughter and talking briefly before mass started.
Joe was a true Gentleman. I only wish I had got to know him better. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hello!
I am late in posting this message - no computer at home. I had the privilege of knowing your father as a neighbor and a friend for almost fifteen years. He was an integral part of the Corner Market Gang, as I fondly dubbed them, or the 'Duane and Bill Show'. Part of my heart broke when your dad moved last fall. I live in Heritage, right across the alley. I had grown so used to seeing him often as he tended his cars, his yard and his neighbors. He did all with loving care.
My daughter was very young when we moved to Heritage in 1987 and became friends with Joe before I knew him. She worked at the car wash in the 1990s and he was a favorite customer of hers.
He never stopped asking about her and praying for her. I know his prayers are with her still, as they are with all of us.
No matter what he did, he lent a style and grace to it that has become almost extinct in this fast paced world we live in now. Years ago I wrote this poem inspired by a friend of mine. I would like to dedicate it to your dad. It fits him to a tee.
Unsung Heroes
Give Common Jobs an Air of Grace,
Put Smiles upon Another's Face...
and Make the World
A Better Place...
To Be.
Rest in Peace, Joe. May we carry on as you did, loving each moment and everyone in it.

I have moved, but the fond memories I carry of your beloved Dad are with me still in my heart. As we approach the most Blessed of all holidays, I give thanks for the privilege of knowing your Dad for those many years. I could always count on a hug and a kind word when I would stop at the Corner Market. I miss him.
Have a Wonderful Holiday Season, knowing your Dad is with you still, his love and prayers will always be there. Our heart sees what our minds cannot. God bless you all. I hope you are carrying on your father's legacy of love and friendship. It reaps great rewards.
