Hi Jeannie. It's been a long, long time. We are very sadden to hear that John has passed on. He was a classmate, room mate and friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying time.

We won't be able to attend the services because I am grounded, by my doctor, for the next few days while I battle to get over pheumonia.

God be with you and your family now and forever........Jim

Dear Jeannie,
I hope you remember me. I sold John's folk's home here in Bellefontaine for him and I was a friend of his in High School.
I want to express my sincere sorrow that you have sustained such a great loss. We (Jim and I) have prayed for John's recovery for some years now since we first heard of his illness and feel the loss of his passing also.
I have only good memories of John. He was, even as a young man, very compassionate toward older people and always had a wonderful sense of humor. I will always remember his lopsided grin and the way that he never seemed to take anything too seriously. I am sorry that we did not know the two of you in these last years, I am sure that it would have been a blessing.
May God grant you only good memories and His comfort and peace until you meet again.

Sincerely,
Sue Schultz

My condolences to John's family and friends. John was one of the "big kids" when we were in grade school at St. Pat's. He was part of a high energy group of cub scouts that met at our house and played basketball in the O'Connor barn.

In later years when I ran into John it was always a happy occasion. He had a sparkle in his eyes and voice and was quick to laugh and smile.

The last time I saw John was in our Clerk of Courts office. He was checking records for the Union Co Prosecutor of a defendant who had also been prosecuted in Logan County. I didn't recognize John until he spoke, then the light of his smile shined bright.

John will always be remembered fondly.
