I can't find the proper words to convey how deeply saddened we are to hear of Jennifer's passing. My son, Jack Hurst, was in her first grade class last year. Mrs. Kent was everything I could have asked for in a teacher for my son. He (and I, his mother) absolutely adored her...and still do.
We are truly blessed to have known Mrs. Kent. She holds a very special place in our hearts. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Please know how much Jennifer meant to Leah and my family. She was an amazing teacher, the kindest person and the sweetest soul. Chris, we are sending you many prayers, much strength and love. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us; that is one of Leah's most special memories. To Jennifer's family, thank you for sharing your daughter with us. She was truly a gift in the world of education. Her ability to connect with children, to inspire them will last for generations. Much love to you all.

I can not say enough about Jennifer! She was an amazing teacher. She was so kind and caring with my daughter Amelia, that needed extra TLC. We had the best year. I cannot say enough kind words about her. She was an Angel sent down from heaven in my eyes. She truly will be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you on this very difficult time.

I can not put into words how deeply saddened we are to hear of Jennifer's passing. My daughter Taylor was in Jennifer's class at Alum Creek. It was our first year in the district and Jennifer's sweet caring nature made the transition amazing! She meant the world to Taylor and I that year. Heaven has gained a true angel. She will continue to hold a special place in our heart.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We are deeply saddened with the news of Jennifer's untimely passing. Our daughter had the privilege of spending time with Jennifer at Tyler Run. It was so apparent she cared deeply for her students. She was always smiling, and had a kind word for parents and students alike. Our family is praying for all this close to her.

Ms. Lawrence wasn't just my teacher, she was my friend. She will remain in my heart forever. She was a sweet, beautiful young lady. She was inspiring. I would not be the person I am today without her. I will miss her. She inspired me to work hard and she told me, "if I can dream it, I can achieve it." She touched many people. She loved cooking. I got the chance to cook with her once; it was so much fun because she was so creative and talented. She loved her dogs (Cooper, Oliver and Bailey). We were so curious in class about Chris. If we were good, Ms. Lawrence would let us ask questions about Chris. We FINALLY got to meet him when Ms. Lawrence took us to see the movie "The Invention of Hugo Caberet". One of my favorite memories was being in her wedding and celebrating with her. She was so happy that day. I am praying for her family. I am so happy she was a part of my life. The children in heaven have a great teacher. -Ava

I have been out of the country and just heard this devastating news today. My son Brett (now 20 and in college in Tennessee) was blessed to have Jenn as his second grade teacher at Alum Creek Elementary during a very difficult time in our lives. Brett was starting at a new school while adjusting to newly divorced parents. She was sent from Heaven above to wrap her angel wings around Brett to comfort him that year. He still talks about her with much love and gratitude. What a legacy she has left for all of the students and families that she touched over the years. We will never forget her! Our family's prayers are will you.
