Obituary
James (Jim) Valentino, age 86, peacefully passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013. He was the loving husband of Veronica for 57 years of marriage. Jim was 1 of 7 children. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Francis Valentino; his brothers and sisters, Benny, Catherine, Walter, William, Mary, and Elda. He is survived by his wife, Veronica; his six children, Joe (Peggy) Valentino, Nina (Chuck) Kabealo, Maria (Van) Lombardo, Tino, Ronni, Nikki (Tod) Richards and 22 grandchildren and his brother Eddie. He was a veteran of WWII. Active church member of St. Andrew Parish. He was retired from RE. Harrington Inc. In his younger days he coached with the Upper Arlington baseball, and softball associations. He was an avid golfer and volunteer starter at The Ohio State University Golf Course. He enjoyed watching his kids and grandchildren coach and participate in sporting activities. In his last years of his life he was a loving and supportive caregiver to his wife. Friends may call Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4-8 p.m. with a Prayer Service. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 31 2013 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road. Rev. Msgr. Stephan Moloney, Presider. Burial to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of James to the Alzheimer Association of Central Ohio 1379 Dublin Road,Columbus Ohio 43215.
