As a co-worker of JD's I found him to be a kind, considerate, soft spoken man, that was always ready to help anyone any way possible. He was a very kind man and greatly thought of by his co-workers at Job and Family Services. He will be sadly missed.

Dear Friends and Family of JD.
I use to work for JD at the Ohio Department of Human Resources from 1994-1998. JD was a warm and caring person. He made coming to work fun. I am sure he will be missed by all. His sense of humor and the ability to make you laugh. I was in total shock to hear about the passing of this great man. Please accept my deepest condolences. This is truely a great loss.

Good afternoon. You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one. Although, I, only, knew J.D. in the work environment, he was one of the kindness people I have known. We had several conversations in the work place. J.D. was easy to talk with and he treated everyone with respect and dignity, at all times. Had I known we shared the same faith, there would have been many more conversations(smile). J.D. is, truly, missed around here. He will not be forgotten by us. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless and be with you. Sincerely, Claudia J. Culver. Thank you.

Everyday is a gift, and our family, friends, and co-workers are the bonus and the wealth in our lives. James “J.D.” Salvatore was all three: a friend, a co-worker, and like family. I’ve known him for more than 15 years. He was a Connoisseur & Gourmet of both food and life; our luncheon outings were legendary. He was kind, funny, interesting, and challenging. His caring was demonstrated by his concern for the less fortunate; he was involved in Special Olympics for many years. He was both funny and happy. He was smart, insightful, spiritual, and a Pack Rat after my own heart. I’m sad that I won’t get to see and talk to him any more, but I’m happy that he’s in a better place because of his faith in Jesus. Good bye my friend.
