Obituary

Helen V. Casasanta, age 88, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Levio J. Casasanta and her parents, Vincenzo and Crucificia (D'Amico) DiPietro; sisters, Mary DePietro and Rita Fodey; brother, Pat DePietro; grandson, Shane Cowgill. She is survived by her children, Judy (Dave) Cowgill, Michael (Linda) Casasanta and John (Jennifer) Casasanta; grandchildren, Tom (Liz) Casasanta and Katie Casasanta, Matt (Carrie) Cowgill, Dave Cowgill and Chrissy Higgins; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Mason Cowgill; sisters, Eleanora DePillo and Gloria DePietro; brother, Joseph (Sue) DePietro; special sister-in-law, Vilma (Casasanta) Kinney; special niece, Theresa (Pat) Norris; nieces and nephews. Helen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was so important to her, and she was always there for everyone. A wonderful cook and always thinking of others. A devoted woman to God and her family. She has touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Helen's family will receive friends Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 3-7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, Columbus, (concluding with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m.). Her funeral Mass is 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road, Columbus, with Rev. Msgr. Romano Ciotola, as the Presider. Burial to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio. Flowers are welcome as are donations to a charity of one's choice. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
