Obituary

Harry A. Laurello, age 89, passed away on Thursday May 26, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born in Ashtabula, Ohio on September 30, 1921 to Michele and Marianna (Stefanelli) Laurello, both of whom had immigrated from Isernia, Italy. He graduated in 1939 from Ashtabula High School and was a veteran of World War II. He retired in 1986 from Consolidated Rail Corporation, having served as Superintendent for the Central and Southern Regions. He was a member of the Guild Athletic Club, Riviera Country Club, Sawmill Athletic Club, and St. Agatha Church. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Nicholas, Mike, and Anthony, and sister Viola Del Prince. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Maxine; daughters Janis (Michael) Fitzpatrick, and Kathy (William) Panning; grandchildren Kelly (Brian) Mitchell, Corey (Lowell) Huth, Michael (Lisa) Fitzpatrick, Matthew, Jordan, and Taylor Panning; great-grandchildren Claire, Molly, and Bridget Mitchell, Kelaine, Bradley, and Charles Huth, Michael and Maggie Fitzpatrick; sister-in-law Norma Laurello; and many nephews, nieces, and wonderful friends. Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 PM noon on TUESDAY May 31 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
