Obituary

Gerald Eugene Walker, age 63, died peacefully at his home in Columbus on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008. Born February 2, 1945 with his twin brother James Walker in Cadiz, Ohio. Jerry, as he was know to friends and family, was an accomplished high school athlete, who went on to attend Ohio State University. In 1965 his son, Alan Walker was born. Even though he was very young to have had a family, he worked diligently to provide for them throughout the years. Jerry was always ready and willing to help his friends and family whenever possible. Jerry was blessed with many dear friends and family members who enjoyed his jovial spirit and witty humor, which were complimented by his kind nature. In his later years Jerry stayed on with his mother, as she required greater assistance and companionship as the years moved along. Jerry is survived by his mother Dora Sagrilla, son, Alan Walker, nephew, Christopher Walker, niece Jennifer Walker, and aunt Virginia Vasbinder. Friends may call MONDAY, August 4th 2008 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Graveside Service will be held 12:00 noon on TUESDAY, August 5th 2008 at Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio. Interment will follow. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

To Gerry's family - I was so sad to hear of Gerry's passing. Jim and Gerry were such a presence in our school days at CHS. It is hard to believe they are both gone. I talked to Gerry
and Jim's mother after Jim's death and was hoping
to connect with Gerry this summer in Columbus.
I am so sorry I did not get a chance to do that.
My condolences to Gerry and Jim's families.
May God Be with you during this time of grieving.

I was so sorry to hear about Jerry. My deepest sympathy to his family. He and Jim died such a short time apart. I was in class with them as we were growing up. Before that, my father and their father were friends. I just can't believe they're both gone. I did get the opportunity to see them back in 1993 when we had a class reunion. Again, my deepest sympathy.
