Obituary

Emery C. Lombardi, a man of faith and a man extremely devoted to his family, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026 at The Estates at Knightsbridge, surrounded by his family. Emery was born September 16, 1926, to Carlo and Maria Lombardi. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Albert and Michael. A man of few words, he was an avid golfer and a founding member of the American Italian Golf Association (AIGA) and a member of the Riviera Golf Club. A resident of Upper Arlington, he was a long-time parishioner of St. Andrew Church where he practiced his faith for more than 56 years. Emery was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He worked at some of Columbus's largest employers, including Clark Grave Vault for 18 years and AT&T's Westem Electric plant for 27 years, where he retired from at the age of 63 in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Sylvia Casuccio Lombardi; sons, Albert, Thomas, and Joseph Lombardi; daughters, Mary Angela (Patrick) Hatem, and Terri and Carol Lombardi, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Michael (Annabel) Lombardi, Gabriel (Amber) Lombardi, Meghin (Ryan Boucher) Lombardi, Christopher (Hannah) Lombardi, Ted Echemann, Tommy (Molly) Lombardi, Angela (Josh) Minto, Michelle (Riley) Kammeraad, Gina (Donny) Karlquist, Jessica Hatem (Grant Black) & Cara Hatem; and great-grandchildren, Avery Minto, Theo, Caroline and Benny Lombardi, Giana, Anthony and Olivia Karlquist and Kinsley Lombardi & Kaliyah Baer; as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Monday May 4, 2026 at John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W. 5th Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43212. A Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday May 5, 2026 at St. Andrews Church, 1899 McCoy Rd, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220 at 10 am with a procession for burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S High St, Lockbourne, Ohio 43137. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
