Obituary
Elizabeth Kardos, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in her home surrounded by loved ones after her battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Alex; daughters Ada (Jim Forristal) Kardos, Portland, OR, and Nicol Kardos, Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter Azure; sister Eva (Palo) Prepiakova, Bratislava, Slovakia; sister-in-law Ellen (Heinz) Seifert, Munich, Germany; and other family members. Born Alzbeta Stullerova in Slovakia on June 6, 1940, she earned a Doctorate in Chemistry from Comenius University. After arriving in Canada in 1969 she moved to the United States in 1973, and to Columbus, Ohio in 1975. During her career she worked at Slovak Technical University, Battelle Memorial Institute, Chemical Abstracts Service, and Medco Health Solutions from which she retired in 2006. She had a passion for gardening, an adventurous spirit for hiking and the outdoors, and loved to spend time with her family in Arizona, Oregon, and Europe. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.

What wonderful accomplishments your mother had, especially with her marriage, her children and the light in her eyes her Granddaughter Azure.
