Obituary

Edward W. Dagenfield, age 90, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at home. Formerly of Upper Arlington, Mr. Dagenfield retired from Capital University and Westinghouse Electric Co. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Theater of War. He was a former member of St. Christopher Church and a current member of St. Andrew Council 11,275; 4th degree Knights of Columbus, Columbian Martyrs Assembly 2380; past Grand Knight of Council 4180; former District Deputy; former Squires Chairman; past Faithful Navigator, Columbus assembly 809 as well as Admiral and Trustee; Past President of Columbus Chapter and Charter Commander of Columbian Martyrs Assembly. He was a member of St. Andrew Church and St. Vincent de Paul Society. He served as a volunteer for the Wexner Center of the Arts, Ohio Theatre, Ohio State Football Redcoat, and as a Starter at the OSU Golf Course. He is survived by his wife Laura (Penzone) Dagenfield; sons: Gregg (Nancy) Dagenfield of Madison County, E. Scott (Sue Kelly) Dagenfield of Upper Arlington; grandchildren: Anyah, Brigid, Charles, Conor, and Maria Dagenfield, four great-grandchildren, Soleil, Sybella, Wyatt and Camden Dagenfield. Also survived by sister Joanne Wylie of California; brother-in-law Bill Jones of Indiana and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, Columbus, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church for his funeral Mass. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery.
