Donald E. Ward, age 78, long time resident of Upper Arlington, member of St. Andrew parish, a dedicated husband, loving father, and a proud grandfather passed away on Tuesday June 14, 2005 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He proudly served in the US Army, 88th Regional Support Command, during World War II. Don retired from the Commercial Motor Freight Company and the Columbus Public Schools after numerous years of dedicated service. He was a member of the GAC, SFI, VFW, and the American Legion. Don was an avid fisherman, outdoors-man, and Atlanta Braves fan. He loved all things Italian and he loved to laugh. He is preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Helen, step-mother Lenoir Mohl, sister Dottie Hodapp and nephew Rick Breeze. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, Tina(Guglielmi), children, Greg(Susan), Kristyn Underwood, Gary(Kerry), Cindy(Mark)Stockdale and Julie(Gerard)Kohrmann, grandchildren Andrew, Christopher, Zachary and Elizabeth Ward, Matthew Underwood, Whitney, Katie and Emileigh Ward, Daniel and Kelli Stockdale, Mitchell, Trevor and Nathan Kohrmann, and many nieces, nephews,in-laws and friends. Friends may call Thursday, June 16th, 2005 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with all club services at 7:15 PM and Catholic Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, June 17th, 2005 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Fr. Anthony Dinovo, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio.
