Obituary
Donald I. Bowers, age 65, passed away on Thursday, July 13th, 2006 at Ohio State University Medical Center. He was owner of Don's Pump Service for 15 years and invented and patented several parts crucial to the boat racing industry. He is preceded in death by father Herman E. Bowers and brother Dean E. Bowers. Survived by loving wife of 49 years, Elvira, daughter Teri Bowers-Chesson and son Donald Steven Bowers; granddaughter Kembrough Dawn Chesson; mother Mary O. Bowers; brother Walter E.(Nancy) Bowers, sister Diane(Myron) Helmbrecht, sisters-in-law Carol Bowers and Mary Lou(Nick) Melaragno, brother-in-law John(Sharon) Magnacca; father-in-law Charles Heaton and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call MONDAY, July 17th, 2006 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 and TUESDAY from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road, Columbus, Ohio, Msgr. Romano Ciotola Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Donald to the OSU Ross Heart Hospital c/o The OSU Foundation Fund #310473, 473 W. 12th Ave Rm 110V, Columbus, Ohio 43210.
