Concetta Giammarco, age 83, passed away January 25, 2006. Preceded in death by father Germano Frissora, mother Paolina Frissora, husband Pasquale Giammarco, daughter Elsa Giammarco, brother Tony Frissora and sister Lina Colangelo. Survived by son and daughter in law Joe & Patty Giammarco, grandchildren Tony, Nick and Alisa Giammarco, brother Jerry (Mitz) Frissora, sisters Maria Guglielmi and Joan (Guido) Pompeo, sister in law Lena Frissora, son in law Tim Snipes and many nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Concetta was born in Introdacqua, Italy and lived there through WWII. She saw both German and American Armies in her town while her Father and brothers were in the United States. In 1947 she, her mother and sisters immigrated to Coraopolis, PA. Soon after, she married and moved to Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of St John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church and the Sons of Columbus, St Joseph Council. She was an excellent cook, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed playing cards, grandchildren’s concerts and sports events, soaps and game shows. She was very lucky at bingo, and had a joyful laugh. The family would especially like to thank the Staff at Emerald Crossings Assisted Living for the excellent care they gave her while she resided there. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Emerald Crossings Activity Fund, Pasquale & Concetta Giammarco Premio Otterbein College Endowment Fund, or the Charity of your choice. Friends may call Sunday, January 29th, 2006 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, January 30th, 2006 at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet St, Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Fr. William A. Metzger, Celebrant.
