Know that I am thinking of each and every one of you during this difficult time. After watching your Mom's celebration of life video, it was so apparent how much you all loved one another, and I can't get over how much each of you resembled her. She'll always be with you. Take good care of yourselves - Connie

I was deeply saddened to hear that Claire's obituary was in today's newspaper. She worked at Florida Tour Lines/Florida Convention Services in the early 90's when I was General Manager; and along with Karen Kmak for our company, Excel Destination Management Services.

That's how she met Larry Jacobs, Glen Blackwelder, Bill Keller and so many other Naples coworkers.

Friendships developed over the years with Peggy Mauter and Claire. To lose both within a one year period is shocking.

I'll never forget the last words I said to Claire. It was at Peggy's funeral. She was in the final receiving line before leaving the church and I said, "I love you Claire." She gained the strength even though her heart was breaking to give me her trademark smile and replied, "I love you too."

Dear Sue, Peggy, Jenny and John:

I have been out of town and was so shocked and saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. Although I hadn't talked to her in years, she meant a lot to me. Her friendship and counseling during the awful teenage years really helped save my life. She was such a generous, caring soul. I will always have precious memories of her joyous laughter and beautiful smile. I am so sorry that you lost her. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I cannot tell you how saddened and overwhelmed I was to hear of Claire's death. She was a neighbor and friend here in Naples. I enjoyed passing conversation with her while walking my dog. She always had kind words for my boy. She will be missed here at Walden Oaks.
