Obituary

Charles Patrick Priest Sr., age 74, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Kobacker House. A Loving and Devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather, a sweet man, and a real gentleman. Retired from the City of Columbus as a Firefighter after 31 years of service and he also worked for Lazarus for over thirty years. He was a member of Amici D'Oro and Mellonaires and 4 Unit Retirees. A graduate of Aquinas High School in 1947. He is preceded in death by Parents George & Florence Priest, son Patrick G. Priest, brothers James and Tom Priest. Survived by Loving wife Betty, children: Vicki(Gary)Good, Teri (Chuck) Westerviller, Chuck P.Jr.(Debbie)Priest, Mary Ann (Steve)Sergio and Colleen Priest. Grandchildren: Gary Jason (Cindi)Good, Jennie Good, Josh (Lisa)Good, Micki Westerviller, Brian(Celeste) Westerviller, Amy Swafford, Jason(Kristina)Swafford. Great-grandchildren Jessica, Julianne, Jamie, Cierra, Sydney, Kevin, Hannah, Landen, Tyler and Nathan, sisters: Rita Whalen, Peggy(Hugh)Miller, brothers Robert(Marilyn) Priest, Donald (Mary) Priest, brothers and sisters-in-law Martha Geer, Frank(Leona)DiCesare, Mae(Ron)Rooker, Donna (Bernie)Norris, Janet (Jim) Dixon, Joan DiCesare, Earl Fowler and Frances Priest. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his Columbus Fire Department Family. Family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2003 at the John Quint & Sons Funeral Home, 1177 West Fifth Avenue,from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Amici D'Oro Service at 3:00 pm and a Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at the St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Road, Celebrant Father James T.Smith. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 North High Street. Friends who wish may contribute to the Hospice at Riverside and Grant 3595 Olentangy River Road. Columbus, Ohio 43214.
