Obituary

Caroline V. Clark, age 90, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, March 19, 2009. She was born in Newark, Ohio, on April 24, 1918. Caroline was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1935. She retired from the Ohio Senate and House after 29 years of dedicated service to former Governor Frank J. Lausche, Senator Oliver Ocasek, Senator Frank King, Senator Celebrezze and numerous other house members. Caroline is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, Jack E. Clark, parents Virgilio and Grazia Marchetti Petre; brothers, Raphael, Benedetto and Carl, Sr., sister Mary R. (Joe) Rodgers and great grandson, Kyle A. Jordan. Survived by daughter, Victoria M. Jordan of Delaware, Ohio grandchildren Dayne A. Jordan, Michelle (Samy) Jordan-Aweshah, great grandchildren Cody A. Jordan, Sophia, Zacharieh, Nathan, Samira and Abrahim Aweshah, sister-in-law, Mary Petre, nephews and niece Carl "Butch" Petre,Jr., Rosemarie (Jerry) Rambo and Jack (Jill) Parren, cousin, Caroline (Joseph) Mazucca-Rotoli of New Jersey, great nephews, great nieces and lifelong friend Helen Jones and family of Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call SUNDAY, March 22, 2009 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177, W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on MONDAY March 23, 2009 at funeral home. Entombment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice nurses and staff for their care and compassion and to her loving caretakers Jakki Patrick and Audrey Ramos of Comfort Keepers.
