Obituary
Carmine D'Alberto, Age 81, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Doctors West Hospital. He was born June 11, 1927 in Moscufo, Italy, to the late Donato and Maria D'Alberto. At the age of 6 years old he started apprenticing to be a tailor. He was a master tailor, a designer and professor
in the art of tailoring. He had a tailor shop in Pescara, Italy until he immigrated to the United States in 1974. He worked for Woodhouse Lynch and Gentry's in Columbus. In 1987, he opened up his own tailor shop with his wife, D'Alberto's Custom Tailoring in German Village. He retired in 1999. He attended St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church faithfully for many years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Vienna D'Alberto; sisters: Anna D'Alberto-Volpone and Mercede D'Alberto Mandolini. Children; Donato(Maria)D'Alberto, Antonio(Sharon)D'Alberto; 5 grandchildren; Dominic, Gabriella, Angelina, Nicholas and Joseph. His sense of humor and humble demeanor will be dearly missed by, not only his family, but also by all of the friends he made in America that became an extended family. Friends may call SUNDAY, November 16th, 2008 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on MONDAY, November 17th, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street, Rev. Fr. William A. Metzger, Presider. Entombment will follow at the Sunset Cemetery Mausoleum, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

My heart goes out to the D'Alberto family, Carmine was a great and caring man who will be dearly missed. A true craftsman of his trade, he was always willing to help all those less fortunate. I will have fond memories of him.
