Obituary

Carlo Apollonio, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 19th, 2007 at Mount Carmel West Hospital. Born November 16, 1920, in Cerreto, Italy and immigrated to Toronto,Canada in 1963. He moved to Columbus in 1968 where he retired from Jeffery Mining Company after 20 years of faithful service. He is preceded in death by infant daughter Enina, parents Antonio and Angela (Onorato)Apollonio, brother-in-law Luigi Rotolo, and beloved wife Maria. Survived by sisters Concetta(Odo)Rotolo of Toronto, Canada, Silvia(Angelo)Ciotola and Mafalda Rotolo both of Columbus, sister-in-law Ersilia(Vittorio)Iannacito of Toronto, Canada and brother-in-law Pietro Apollonio of Rome, Italy. Also survived by uncle Nicodemo(Gilda)Apollonio of Cerreto, Italy, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends may call FRIDAY, June 22nd, 2007 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on SATURDAY, June 23rd, 2007 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road, Columbus, Ohio, Msgr. Anthony Borrelli, Celebrant. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. The family wishes to thank the staff at First Community Village for their care of Carlo, especially the Alzheimer's Floor. I am so sorry to hear of Carlo's passing. I enjoyed taking care of him at First Community Village. He was my favorate. I looked forward to seeing him every day. I will never forget the words "hey lady" as he said that to n\me every day. He held a special place in my heart and will be missed. I will remember him always. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
