Obituary
Benny Gioffre, devoted husband, son, brother and uncle, passed peacefully Saturday May 11, 2013 in his home in Wilmington, Delaware surrounded by family and friends. Born on October 10, 1950. He spent much of his life traveling the world and serving in the United States Air Force and enriched the lives of all he met. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann (DeGore) Gioffre and grandparents Carlo and Angelina DeGore and Antonio and Vittoria Gioffre. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita (Túcha) Gioffre; father, Joseph Gioffre Sr.; Brother, Joseph Gioffre Jr.; niece and nephews, Joseph Gioffre III and Christina (Bryan) Venys as well as many cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. Family and friends can show their respects on THURSDAY May 16th 2013 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 4:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on FRIDAY May 17th 2013 at St. Matthias Catholic Church 1582 Ferris Road, Columbus, Ohio Rev. Fr. William J. Metzger Presider. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio PROCESSION TO CEMETERY WILL FORM AT CHURCH.Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

Benny was my best friend, I feel lost without him, but grateful to have known him. He is with his mother now and it our loss and not his.. I will miss you Benny and one day we'll see each other again..Bobby and Susan Foresta

It saddens me to hear that Benny is gone.
We played football together at DeSales and shared lots of laughs. We both served in the Air Force and by pure happenstance were stationed at RAF Alconbury in England. We spent lots of time together playing baseball in London, and camping around England, especially the Lake District.
My thoughts and prayers are will you all.
May the perpetual light shine upon him.

We were very saddened to learn that Benny had passed away. He was our best man at our wedding in 2001 and he was a great friend to us. We send our heartfelt condolences to Anita and the rest of Benny's family. We will miss Benny tremendously but are grateful for the friendship we had with him.
