I regret that I couldn't be with you during calling hours, nor be present for the Mass tomorrow. Unfortunately, I have been under the weather for the past few weeks and must remain indoors. I will remember your mother and wife and the nice conversations she used to have with me when we were neighbors. How could I forget her shaking her finger at me through the kitchen window when she spotted me eating Omar chocolate cupcakes! Then she would tell my mother. I should have listened!!! Maybe I would have grown up THIN! I'll be thinking of you and having fond memories of Bea Verne. My sympathy.

I'm so sorry to learn that your Mother passed away. I worked with her many years ago at Linden-McKinley High School. She always loved to talk about her family. I feel fortunate to have known Bea, even if it was only for a couple of years. She was a dear!
