Obituary

Anthony Thomas Merendo, age 78, passed away on Thursday April 29th 2004 at The Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. A veteran of World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents James & Filomena, brother: Frank(JoAnne), brother-in-law Ronald Lowman and loving wife of 49 years Inez. Survived by daughter Paula(Bob)Metz, grandchildren Stephanie and Greg, sisters:Rosalyn(William)DiSabato, Rosemary(Joseph)Colak and Mary Anne Lowman. Friends may call Monday May 3, 2004 at the John Quint & Sons Funeral Home, 1177 West Fifth Avenue from 4:00-8:00 pm with a Prayer Service 4:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday May 4, 2004 at St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street. Msgr.John K.Cody,Celebrant.PROCESSION WILL FORM AT CHURCH. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio. Hello Paula - you may remember me...my father Frank Mangini and Mother Frances were good friends with your Mom and Dad. I was sorry to here that "Uncle Tony" (that's what we always called him) had died. As you know, your Dad was a great person. My parent's thought so much of your parents....so much that they named my oldest brother after your Dad. I am sorry I was not able to go to John Quint tonight and pay my respects.
