Obituary
Anna G. Kates, age 100, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2009. A resident of Westminster-Thurber Community. She is preceded in death by husband Charles Kates, son William and 4 siblings: Thelma Fisher, Paul(Bette)Hang, Louis(Dorothy)Hang and Frances(Dutch)Richards. Survived by daughter Sue Ann Kates of Kalispell, MT, niece, Janie Bedell of Grove City, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass will be held 6:00 PM on TUESDAY, March 17, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 386 Buttles Avenue, Rev. Fr. Ron Atwood, Presider. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM WEDNESDAY, March 18, 2009 in the Westminster-Thurber Community Chapel, 717 Neil Avenue, Rev. Mark Arni, Officiating. Graveside Ceremony will follow at 12:30 PM in the Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River. Arrangements entrusted to the JOHN QUINT TREONI FUNERAL HOME. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.

Aunt Ann was a grand lady. She had more than her share of sorrows but always maintained a cheerful and optimistic spirit. Her long life was a blessing in many ways but she did say to us once, when asked how it felt to be almost 100, she said "It stinks." Yet she lived with joy.

How sorry I am not to be able to speak with or visit Aunt Ann. I know she is watching over us. I will be prayering to her for my special intentions. Her memory will inspire me to be patient and accepting, I will treasure it.
