Angelina Virginia Mara, age 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Angie was born on October 25, 1914 to the late Salvatore and Maria. She was a longtime resident of Clintonville and a very active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she belonged to the women's club and volunteered for many community organizations. Angie was known for her devotion to God, her devotion to family, her famous cooking & her love of dancing, especially the polka. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Savino(who she lost in 1959), Siblings; Willis(Irma), Pat(Agnes), Settima(Eddie), Betty(Joe), Joseph(age 12), Dominic(Bea), and Irene(Clarence), Sons; Phillip, Sam, Joseph, and Dominic(Susan) and Grand-children, Lisa Sykes and Samuel Jr. Angie is survived by her Daughter, Bernadette(Stephen)Carter, her grandchildren; Gina Pavleski, Michael, Jennifer DiSabato, Steve, Philip, Todd, Andrea Zekan, Matthew, Tim, Christina Hunter, Ted, Lauren Strane and Andrew, sisters; Lenora Pellegrini and Mary(Nunzio)Mancini, daughters-in-law; Shirley, Donna Jean, and Lynne. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you and grateful appreciation to all the staff at Arlington Court Nursing Home, the Nurse practitioners of Evercare, the 5th Floor South Cardiac staff, 7th Floor North staff at Riverside Methodist Hospital and The HomeReach Hospice staff for the wonderful care they all gave her. Friends may call MONDAY February 14, 2011 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4:00-7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 AM on TUESDAY February 15 at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel(within the St. Joseph Cemetery). FRIENDS ARE ASKED TO PLEASE MEET AT THE CHAPEL. Interment will follow.
