Obituary

Alfred Paul Paolini, age 84, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013. Preceded in death by wife Mary; children, Barbara Circelli and Jeffrey Paolini; granddaughters, Angela Dean and Amy Dean; and brother, Don Paolini. Survived by children, Susan Quinn, Debra Sheeley, Phillip (Misty) Paolini, and Anthony Paolini; brother Lee (Katy) Paolini; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Frank Circelli; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Retired from Jeffrey Dresser Company, where he acquired a patent for his engineering work in coal-mining technology. In his role as Grandpa "Owl," he kept his pool open all summer, captained countless boat rides on Lake Erie, and hosted festive Christmas Eve celebrations each year. Friends may call Monday, October 21, 2013 from 4-8 p.m., at THE JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Ave., Columbus. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Avenue. Burial to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alfred's name may be made to The Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131. Very sorry we are not able to attend Alfred's funeral. We were so glad to see him and speak with him, for the first time in many years, at your anniversary party. It brought back many fond memories. We will keep him and his family in our prayers.
