Obituary

Adelia (Mininni) Sabo, age 98, died on Saturday, April 14, 2012. She was born on December 27, 1913 in Pratola Peligna, Italy and immigrated to America in 1915. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, parents Ettore and Nunziatta (Colonna) Mininni, brothers Americo and Sam Mininni and Dorindo (Joe Montana) Mininni, sisters Mary DiGuilio and Italia (Tally) Grossman. She is survived by her children, Joe (Marilyn) Sabo, Tammy Easter and Mike (Jody) Sabo; grandchildren, Joe (Allie) Sabo, Gena (Bret) Baker, Angela (Rocky) Pentello, Mike (Rachel) Iannarino, Matt Easter, Mark Easter, David (Angela) Sabo, Kristen (Jason) Foures; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special niece, Nancy Bergunzi; and brother-in-law, Jim Grossman. "Adele" had a beautiful singing voice and performed locally in the 1930's. After raising her family, she worked as a supervisor for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles for 25 years before retiring in 1983. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. Adelia was blessed to have her daughter, Tammy, as her long term caregiver. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at THE JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNEAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, where her service will be on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow in Union Cemetery. So Sorry for your loss your Mom always treated me very well. She was fornunate to have a loving daughter to take care of her. Jeanne's dad lives with us and he hs medical and mental problems so I know what it is like to be a care giver. My mom is 99 and looking forward to 100 on 7/18/12. I am sorry we cannot make it to the service but our thoughts and prayers are with you.
