Obituary

Dennis Bernard Anderson, 79, born on February 8, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Sunday, April 11, 2021 in Grandview Heights, Ohio. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Josephine Anderson; his brother, Stephen; and his granddaughter, Josephine Willhite. Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathy (nee Stephens); children, Barbara Westbrook, Karen Mosca (Marcello), Kristine Willhite (Art), DJ, Michael (Stacy), Sara Willette (Dennis), and Greg (Kate); grandchildren, Eric & Jessica Umbarger, Rachel & Megan Westbrook, Bella, Ben & Anna Willhite, Kate & Emma Anderson, Madeline & Rowan Anderson, Peyton Anderson, Dennis & Elise Willette; siblings, Donald Anderson and Mary Jo Ferrigno; and in-laws, Margaret White and Larry Stephens. Dennis was a kind and loving husband, brother, uncle, father and Grandfather. He was a long time parishioner of St. Christopher Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He retired after working 29 years for the State of Ohio Department of Insurance. Dennis and Kathleen also cared for dozens of foster children over the years and enjoyed travelling all over the country to visit grandchildren and children. Memorial Mass 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1420 Grandview Avenue, Columbus. In lieu of flowers, please donate to: St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Columbus Ohio 43212; MaryKnoll Fathers and Brothers, St. Jude's Children's Hospital. I read of your father's passing in the Columbus Dispatch and am sending my heartfelt sympathy to all. I so enjoyed working with each one of you as you passed through the halls of Grandview.
