Obituary

Nina Lucia (Ricci) McPherson, age 83, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Nina graduated from Linden-McKinley High School and retired from Rockwell (Boeing). She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucia (DiPietro) Ricci; husband, Daniel "Mac"; brother, Frank Ricci; sisters, Eda Rossetti, Eva Castellano and Lola Ricci; and infant brother, Frank. She is survived by her brother, Bob (Norma) Ricci; nieces, Jennifer (Jeff) Kreuzer, Carla Borghese, Debbie Castellano and Linda Castellano; nephews, Craig (Melanie) Ricci, Jason (Melissa) Ricci, Tom (Mary) Ricci, Scott and Rex Ricci; sister-in-law, Faye Wiseman; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. A private family graveside service was held at 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at Resurrection Cemetery (Lewis Center). Donations preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted with the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus (43212). I was only fortunate to know Nina for the past year while spending time at the Inn at Little Bear. It was always wonderful to talk with Nina and her friends, and she most certainly added a lot of laughter and spark. I loved that she always told it like it is and yet added levity along with it. I can tell she always stood up for what was right and was there for her family and friends no matter what. I am appreciative for the opportunity to know her, and I enjoyed her stories of her family. I am so very for your family's loss.

It was a pleasure living in the Willow neighborhood with Nina. She had the best display of flowers every summer and she was just a pleasure knowing her. We even discovered we went to the same hair salon. Rest In Peace Nina.
