Obituary

Philip W. Schirtzinger, age 70, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Philip was the owner of the Star Beacon Products Company, graduated from Bishop Watterson High School and attended The Ohio State University. He was a fixture around Grandview Heights (OH) and Cedarville (MI). He was also an animal lover, avid fisherman, enjoyed fishing in the Les Cheneaux Islands of Michigan with buddies, Mike Lane, Pat Casey and Dave Senters. He was an OSU fan and known for his sports knowledge and will be remembered for his quiet generosity. He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Alice (Maloney) Schirtzinger. He is survived by his son, Frank W. Schirtzinger; close friends, Barb (Tim) Rohrbacher; brothers and sisters, Bob (Kay) Schirtzinger, Rosemary (John) Conroy, Patricia, (Bruce) Marshall, Margaret (Jim) Griesen, Sister Ruth Schirtzinger, O.P., Marie (Edward) Taris, Edward (Diane) Schirtzinger; many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncle. Friends may call on Sunday, May 21, 2017, from 2-5 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2017, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road (Marble Cliff). Burial to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Grandview Bobcat Boosters, P.O. Box 12315, Columbus, OH 43212. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com. PROCESSION TO FORM AT THE CHURCH.
