Mary Agnes (Faiella) Hollern, 89, born to Italian immigrant parents, Concezio and Panfilia Faiella on September 19, 1925, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2015, surrounded by her daughters. A graduate of North High School, class of 1944, Mary worked for the State of Ohio before becoming a full time wife and mother. She loved to play the piano, travel, garden, decorate and host parties for her family. Mary taught china painting and ceramic classes for many years. She was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Sorority and Sts. Peter and Paul Guild. Preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Daniel F.; brothers, Sistino (Settemia) and Elmo; sisters, Geneva (John) Faiella, Rose (Richard) Potenza, Wilma (Nick) Pollina, Lillian (Ray) Quint; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Jim) Barr; brothers-in-law, Anthony Mangia, Tony Rousseau, James (Mary), John, Jr. (Margaret), Richard (Peg), Bill (Marilyn), Marty, Joe and Harry; and father and mother-in-law, John and Marie Hollern. Survived by devoted daughters, Karen Hollern, Michelle (Dino V.) Pezzot and Deborah (Dr. George) Brahos; grandchildren, Ben and Katie Pezzot, Mary and Christina Brahos; sister, Joanne Mangia; sisters-in-law, Alice, Jeanne and Ann Hollern, and Ann Rousseau; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Our family would like to thank the caring staff at The Forum at Knightsbridge and the nurses and staff at Riverside Hospital 8th floor orange, for their wonderful care and compassion. Family will receive friends Friday, September 18, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue (with a Prayer Service at 4:30 p.m.). Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd, Columbus. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church for her funeral Mass.
