Violetta Marie "Viola" Dell Italia, age 89, was born on August 8, 1925, to the late Domenico and Flavia DiCesare. Viola was reunited with John, her husband of 67 years on Monday, April 6, 2015. Viola will be remembered for her love of life, family and traveling. Viola will be greatly missed and will continue to be remembered in all of our hearts and memories. Viola is survived by sons, Eugene (Barbara) of Staten Island New York, John (Susan) of Floral Park, New York and daughter, Roseann (Geoffrey H.) Layman of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren, Eugene (Tracy), Keith, Eric (Maria), James, Vincent, David (Meryl), Elyse (Daniel) and Michael Layman; great Grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Vincent, Briella, Ava Grace, Kayden and Emily. Sister, Norma (Bill) Rose; sisters-in-law, Mary DiCesare and Maria Dell Italia of Long Island, New York; brother-in-Law, Ron Reeb. Viola is preceded in death by her brother, Joseph DiCesare; sisters, Jane (Ralph) Marzullo and Zia Rose; brothers-in-law, Nicholas (Anna) Dell Italia, Mario Dell Italia, Anthony (Terry) Dell Italia; sisters-in-law, Josephine (Michael) Dispigno and Eleanor Dell Italia. Viola retired from The State of Ohio Dept. of Taxation. Viola was a member of the Golden Girls, St. Francis Seniors, Social Member of the S.F.I. and Amici D'Oro. Thanks to all the caregivers of The Laurels of Worthington and Ohio Health Hospice. Viola's family will receive friends on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 4-8 P.M. at The JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Ave., Columbus, Ohio, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. and the Amici D'Oro service at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet St., Columbus (Italian Village). Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions on Viola's honor to the St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church-Renovation Fund, 720 Hamlet St., Columbus, 43215 or Ohio Health Foundation for Hospice Services, 180 E.
